We were called to assist a very busy couple in updating their kitchen. They did not want to replace or paint the cabinets, which were a peachy-beige color. After talking with them and asking many questions, we suggested painting the main walls a soft gray, with the wall that leads to the family room painted aqua, because gray and aqua play well off the cabinet color. We found a Suzani-like fabric in colors that complemented the cabinets for the window and patio door, along with blinds to block the afternoon sun. A dark gray honed granite countertop was added along with a glass tiled backsplash. We then added under cabinet lighting to make the tile sparkle and the clients purchased new stainless steel appliances. The finishing touches were glass and stainless pendants and a few aqua accessories. Our clients loved the result!
